Inspiration and references

Oftentimes, a material is chosen for a countertop by first deciding on the properties the countertop should have and then choosing either natural stone, quartz or ceramic accordingly. After deciding on a material, a suitable colour is chosen with consideration for the colour of cupboards, flooring and the overall colour scheme in the home. Black and white

The black-and-white colour scheme in this kitchen is complemented by the island’s light Alaska quartz countertops.

Scandinavian tones

The soft white of light quartz goes well with light-coloured wood. The dark cupboards in the island provide fantastic contrast.

Light-coloured wood and white tones

The light wood and stainless steel appliances are an excellent match for the light tone of Star Dust quartz. The glass and mirror fragments that provide the effects in Star Dust add glitter and texture to the countertop.

Marbled surface

The pattern of Carrara quartz resembles a marbled surface – delicate grey patterning adorns a white background. It is a beautiful option for a white kitchen if you are looking to avoid a solid white countertop.

Rustic feel

Brick walls, timber surfaces and light cupboards. The gorgeous Antique Bronze natural stone countertop is a great match to continue the natural look of the room.

Natural tones and surfaces

Diamond-brushed black granite countertops combined with wooden cabinets and muted colours. A natural, timeless look.

Timber surfaces and marbled patterns

Timber combined with bright white marbled countertops. Dekton Aura was chosen as the countertop for the kitchen in this gorgeous log house.
