Kivilähde has manufactured high-quality kitchen countertops for more than 20 years. The ceramic department of our countertop range contains various options with excellent properties. Its heat resistance and low maintenance make ceramic an excellent choice of material for kitchen countertops.
Ceramic differs from natural stone and quartz not only with regard to its properties, but also with regard to its strength, as ceramic countertops are usually 12mm thick.
Ceramic countertops consist of quartz, clay, feldspar, mineral oxides and natural colour pigments. They are 100% natural products, making them an environmentally friendly option. Unlike natural stone and quartz, ceramic countertop surfaces are usually matte and slightly rough, but polished options are available.
Due to the way that they are manufactured and their composition, ceramic countertops have excellent properties; they are extremely heat-resistant and do not stain.
